What the water is doing

Tides, temperature and the light, for Sep 14, 2026. Read from NOAA when this page was built, not measured by us.

Tides at Hillsboro Inlet

Predicted, not observed. NOAA computes these in advance from the harmonics of the station, so a wind that holds the water in will beat the table.

Tide Time Height
Low 4:55 am 0.2 ft
High 11:11 am 3.3 ft
Low 5:20 pm 0.7 ft
High 11:17 pm 3.1 ft

Tide predictions from NOAA CO-OPS station 8722862 at Hillsboro Inlet. Conditions observed by NOAA NDBC buoy 41122 off Fort Lauderdale, most recently at Sep 14, 9:00 am. Fetched Sep 14, 9:52 am. Sunrise and sunset are computed for the pier.

Acreage, address and outline are the county's. Hours and what is in a park are the city's own words, found on the city's page for 29 of the 46. On 2 of those pages the city describes a different park, so nothing is taken from them. Ocean side is the side of A1A a park's centre falls on, which is a side of a road and not a claim about sand.

Dates as the city gives them on its parks and CRA pages. The stations are evenly spaced and the time between them is written on the line.
Rebuilt
Enhancements began in 2019: an elevated deck to withstand a rise in sea level, nearly double the width for fishing and walking, sails overhead for shade, marine artwork, and a new end in the shape of a pompano, the fish the city is named for.
On it
The First Marine Amphibious Landing Monument, to the Continental Marines' 1776 landing, and a bike rack.
At its foot
The Fishing Village, six acres of restaurants, shops and a hotel around the pier parking garage, an active CRA project since 2017 that the city planned from 2010.
In the Fishing Village
Alvin's Island, Baresco, Beach House Pompano, BurgerFi, Cannoli Kitchen, Hilton Tru and Home2 Suites, How You Brewin Coffee Company, Kilwins, Lucky Fish, Oceanic, per the CRA's page.
